BENEFITS OF INFRARED SAUNA

One of the best things that I have ever purchased in my life is my Clearlight infrared sauna by Jacuzzi. I had my first biological dentistry procedure in February 2018. I leaned into sauna, not knowing a fraction of what I now know about how to detoxify the body. It wasn’t easy. I still had intermittent pancreas pain and severe gallbladder dysfunction and I was weak as a kitten after being bed bound for nearly eight years. My mother helped me get to local infrared saunas as I was so weak that I couldn’t carry my bag to change clothes. Can you imagine?! I still can hardly believe it myself and I lived through it! It was a very challenging time and I am so grateful that my mother was so committed to my recovery.

I wanted to see if I could tolerate the heat and I did pretty well, considering how seriously ill I really was. I knew to hydrate and to use minerals (super important!) but it would take me a while to learn about binders (game changer for me!) I slowly increased my time in the sauna and the temperature and it has been a tremendous blessing to me to have this tool to assist my recovery and detox.

Studies show that infrared sauna users excrete toxic metals and chemicals in their perspiration. I was very interested in that as I had a heavy metal history with many mercury fillings as a child, as well as metal braces.

What initially interested me about infrared sauna is the induced hyperthermia. The body creates fevers to kill germs and I decided that I liked that idea and wanted to get started doing it as soon as possible. For what I was paying to go to the sauna twice a week, I could use those funds to BUY my own sauna and use it much more. So, in September of that year, I started to sauna in my own Clearlight sauna in my own home every other day.

Benefits of Sauna (by studies): Assists detoxification by perspiration, stimulates autophagy (body breaks down bad cells), activates heat shock proteins (this stimulates regrowth after breaking down damaged cells), raises growth hormone, reduces inflammation, improves insulin sensitivity (which reduces inflammation), improves blood flow, and temporary hyperthermia.

For those interested in getting their own Clearlight Infrared Sauna, I have secured a $400-600 discount as well as a FREE wooden backrest. To obtain this discount, call Patty Ryan at 415-654-0572 and give her the code: PAMWILD.

What is a Root Canal?

To those who have followed me for awhile, the answer to this question may seem obvious. But for those who have never had a root canal, it is not necessarily an obvious answer. There are often folks who have had the procedure who also aren’t 100% certain they fully understand about root canal procedures. So let’s talk about it.

A root canal procedure is often completed when a tooth becomes infected or dies, or if a cavity becomes too large to sustain tooth health. The main canals of the teeth are drilled and cleaned out, and filled with a material called gutta percha. The nerves and the blood supply to the tooth are cut. If a tooth wasn’t dead before the root canal, it is after the procedure is completed. Therein lies the problem for some people. The tooth is dead and has no defense system, so pathogens can set up house and multiply unchecked inside the tooth. And human teeth have hundreds and hundreds of miles of microscopic tubules that tiny bacteria can grow an live in. I like to think of a root canal tooth as a bacteria hotel.

Unfortunately, it appears that the bacteria don’t just stay in the tooth. In fact, there are studies linking root canal bacteria to various health issues. I was one of the folks who had such health issues. My first biological dentistry procedure removed five teeth and cleaned out four cavitation sites (more on cavitations in another post). That was nine sites of infection in my jaws! No wonder I was sick. Lifting all of that burden was such a gift to my body! And I began to be able to talk and sit up again for the first time in years, just hours after my procedure. My health has steadily improved ever since.

To learn more about root canals, cavitations, and the effects of necrosis in the jaws on overall health, I recommend reading the books in my reading list https://www.amazon.com/shop/pamlwild/list/2DJOD488HXQ4O?ref_=aipsflist_aipsfpamlwild Be sure to read Hidden Epidemic by Dr. Thomas Levy, the Toxic Tooth by Dr. Robert Kulacz, as well as The Dental Diet by Dr. Steven Lin.

Many Ailments Are Gone

Yes, I once had all these conditions, and many more! No more, thank God! There was a time when I had debilitating pain, headaches, jawbone necrosis, dental infections, rashes, I was unable to talk or move my arms without excruciating pain, I was bed bound, had varicose veins, heartburn, nausea, hemorrhoids, heart palpitations, fatigue, weakness, multiple nutritional deficiencies, hair loss, completely blocked gallbladder, subacute chronic pancreatitis, a myriad of food allergies and food sensitivities, mold toxicity, recurrent bladder infections, interstitial cystitis, parasites eye floaters, and irritable bowel syndrome. WHEW!

Not only am I soooooo GRATEFUL that these conditions no longer plague me, I can’t wait to share what I did to get rid of them all! I’m sure some of you will find all of this very interesting. As a matter of fact, I’ll be sharing everything I did to get rid of all these conditions…and what I’m still doing to eliminate the lingering Lyme infections and toxins that I still have.

Welcome to pamwild.com

In the spring of 2011, I became completely disabled after decades of “weird” illnesses. I was in debilitating pain, unable to talk, chew, get around, use my arms, or be upright for any prolonged period of time. I laid in a bed like that for seven years until I diagnosed myself with hidden dental infections and got treatment. This included removal of previously treated root canal teeth and treatment to cavitation sites, which are sites of infection hidden within bone. This is usually from previous tooth extractions, like wisdom teeth extractions. I’ve since uncovered and recovered from a number of stealth infections and “incurable” conditions. I’ve come to find there are so many others like me out there. So, I share my story, how I got here, the health protocols I’ve used, and the lifestyle changes I’ve made…while trying to encourage others to “hang in thereā€.

I hope you enjoy what I share here. If you have a friend who has struggled to get better, be sure to forward my site and articles to them. This site is to spur conversations, encourage research, and encourage thinking “outside the box”. If you like what I share, please support me by using my links and the link to my Amazon store. My Amazon store is also a convenient way for folks to see what products I’ve used/use successfully. Take a look! Be sure to check with your practitioner before using or trying anything new.

I’ve overcome multiple food sensitivities, a 100% blocked gallbladder, pancreatitis, dental infections and their associated toxins, mold sickness, eye floaters, varicose veins, rashes, heart palpitations, debilitating pain, and so many other things! My medical background is in nursing and massage therapy, but I share this information as just a person who is healing. My medical interests are soft tissue alignment, fascia plane constriction, lymph health, health optimization, and the interconnected biochemistry of it all. My passions are cooking and gardening. I’m fascinated by herbs. I’ll be sharing on all these topics and more. I’m so looking forward to this! We’re all in this together. Happy Healing! And welcome to my online community. What is Compound Illness?

Compound Illness is what I call the cluster or conglomeration of multiple symptoms due to multiple, simultaneously-occurring root causes, often interconnected in biophysiology. That’s a mouthful! What this means, is that an individual might not just have one simple diagnosis like a strep infection, for example. These sick folks often have more than one pathogen or more than one toxicity issue, or both. Often there are multiple of these, or a combination. There can even be a codependent relationship, as in yeast with mold, or parasites with Lyme disease. These multiple combinations are being studied and treated, sometimes with the physician’s knowledge of all these interplays and interconnected relationships, sometimes with only a limited understanding, and sometimes with no understanding of these relationships.

For those with chronic illnesses that have visited multiple doctors and tried multiple healing protocols from conventional, functional, integrative, and/or naturopathic doctors only to find they still don’t feel well, (or at the least are not optimally well), compound illness is worth looking into and researching. Often, there is more than one condition that needs to be addressed. This can be complicated by toxicities, dental infections, breast implants, and/or stealth infections like Lyme disease, mold, candida, parasites, or Epstein Barr Virus. For example, a number of mold doctor specialists now agree that candida and mold often travel together. Have a recurring yeast infection? These doctors would say to investigate if there is also a mold infection of some sort, just to be sure.

After chatting with thousands of these types of sick people, I have often found that recovery is further complicated by removal of organs, various organ dysfunction, living environment, and more. Most of each of the previously mentioned conditions brings with it its own various nutritional deficiencies. Sometimes hormones are disrupted as well. Imagine trying to nourish yourself when you have multiple conditions that robs you of vital nutrients! It gets complicated. Often supplements are required for these folks.

While I was such a sick person and had many of these things, I have kicked many of these problems to the curb. After making such an amazing leap forward in my health after my first biological dental procedure, I decided to go for broke and pursue being optimally healthy. I didn’t want to settle for just being better, but I wanted to THRIVE.

I have a history of mold, candida, dental infections, jawbone infections, heavy metal toxicity, environmental toxins, and Lyme disease. I have overcome multiple illnesses that I thought I might have to live with for the rest of my life. These include diagnoses of: jawbone necrosis, debilitating neuralgia, being unable to talk, being bedbound for nearly eight years, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, heart palpitations, fatigue, weakness, eye floaters, multiple nutritional deficiencies, hair loss, completely blocked gallbladder, chronic subacute pancreatitis, a myriad of food allergies, mold toxicity, recurrent yeast infections, chronic sinus infections, interstitial cystitis, recurring bladder infections, irritable bowel syndrome, eczema and other rashes, parasites, and heartburn. Yes, I have kicked ALMOST ALL of these completely to the curb! I am here to share my story and the details to spur conversation and research. I hope you will find the details as interesting as I do!

I am intrigued with compound illness and the symbiotic relationships of some pathogens, as well as with various toxicities. I want to share what I’ve learned, what I’ve overcome. I have a grocery list of ailments that I no longer have to live with. Yay! I am a survivor and thriver of compound illness.

Ramp Butter

Ramp butter is super easy to make. All that is needed is a good food processor or a high speed blender, though I prefer a food processor. It freezes well and is a great addition to put out when friends are over, take to a party, or give as gifts. I love this for the healthy benefits of ramps, particularly anti fungal, but also the gut-healing benefits of the butyrate in the the butter. Can’t get your hands on some ramps? You can make a similar butter using a garlic bulb and some onion green tops to replace the ramp leaves. It will be tasty, but will taste a little different, as ramps have their own unique flavor.

INGREDIENTS:

-5 sticks (or 1 1/4 lb) softened organic butter

1 ramp bulb, minced

1 1/2 cup finely chopped ramp leaves and stems

DIRECTIONS: Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend till smooth and well-incorporated, consistently green throughout. Occasionally take off lid to tamp down and mix a bit with spatula. Pour ramp butter into glass bread pan and chill. It is easier to remove the ramp butter from the pan after it has chilled if the pan is lined with wax paper. After the butter has chilled firm, it can be sliced, wrapped, then frozen or eaten. The butter keeps well in the refrigerator for approximately a week. I usually keep a stick out to eat on toast (so good!) and freeze the rest.

You can find my food processor and my bread pans at my Amazon store. If you like my content, please use my link if you purchase these items at no additional cost to you! https://www.amazon.com/shop/pamlwild/list/1NXTR2PIQYZ75?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_aipsfpamlwild_QPHW2QVF0NSDG3JBS5MW

What are Ramps?

Ramps are an allium, like onion, garlic, or chives, that grow wild in the floor of the forest. In early spring, they emerge from the forest floor. After the trees overhead fully leaf out, the leaves of the ramps die back. Ramps, also called “wild garlic” or “wild leeks”, do not have a texture like a leek. The bulb has a texture like onion, but a stronger flavor more similar to garlic. The leaves are proliferative and are often eaten as greens. To ensure the longevity of a ramp patch, it is best not to dig up too many bulbs, but one may pick as many greens as wanted. It is best to pick rather large bulbs or thin clusters where there are many together. The bulbs, stems, and leaves can be blanched, fried, and mixed into dishes.

Alliums are rich in vitamin C, sulfur, and allicin, all wonderful nutrients for supporting immunity and a healthy microbiome. These wild, delicious plants grow over much of the United States and Canada and parts of Europe. Some grocery stores even sell them now, as their popularity is growing.

Meet My Dentist

For those of you who have followed me for a while, you may recognize the person in this photo. For those who are newer or those who may not remember, let me introduce you to my biological dentist, Dr. Lane Freeman DDS. The dental practice of Nunnally, Freeman, & Owens, in Marble Falls, Texas, has seen patients from every state in the Union and dozens of countries as well. I’m so grateful that I have traveled there for my biological dental procedures, including extractions of root canal treated teeth, as well as treatment for cavitations (spots in the jawbone that harbor unhealed and/or infected bone, usually occurring at previous extraction sites). They have even done some small repairs of other teeth during my procedures. My first trip there I was in such a debilitated state that it took multiple people involved to get me there. They have cared for patients in the worst condition, folks robbed of vitality and health. While they have plenty of patients, I have never felt uncared for or neglected. And the procedure saved my life and gave me back my autonomy.

I will be sharing lots and lots about the work I’ve had done at this practice, so be sure to check out later posts. Dr. Freeman is a kind, skillful, compassionate caregiver who treats every patient like family. I only wish Texas was closer!

Targeting My Teeth

This is the first book I’m sharing on my blog because it is an important one to me. When I laid in a bed in excruciating pain for nearly eight years, the last couple years of that I finally got a smart phone. That opened up a world of research for me. Prior to that, I was in so much pain that I couldn’t sit up to use a computer nor could I use a tablet because they were too heavy for me to hold up! With a smart phone, I could set a pillow on my chest and prop the smart phone up against it. I could research and find out what I needed to try to recover from the horrible illness(es) that was slowly killing me. There wasn’t much information on dental infections or the hazards of root canals and cavitations in those days, but when I began to explore that option, I scoured the internet. I came across this book, “The Toxic Tooth; How a root canal could be making you sick”, which doctors Thomas Levy, MD and Robert Kulacz, DDS wrote with incredible frankness and important detail.

I used this book as a road map for shopping for a dentist who might help me get better, as well the protocols I should plan to undertake for optimal recovery. As best I could, I followed it to the letter. There are surgical protocols, as well as supplement and oral care suggestions. I highly recommend this book!

If you want to obtain a copy of this book, it is available on my Amazon store at https://www.amazon.com/shop/pamlwild/list/2DJOD488HXQ4O?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_aipsfpamlwild_XTNJ1VY4MZ536BK6V0SY
